To be more than just a brand and part of problem-solver is always become our goal in Batik Fractal. In the context of Bandung, we see that the ecosystem of creative economy must be more inclusive and involve more people, including the lower classes of society. In collaboration with the Taboo Community, Batik Fractal agreed to hold a holistic training program on jBatik in the village of Dago Pojok, Bandung.
Dago Pojok is one of the densely populated villages fostered by the Taboo community that surprisingly holds potential in crafting industry. But we believe that creativity without a supportive ecosystem is not enough to solve problems. So we not only train on creating batik design through technology, but also produce to monetization a product- to a certain level, creating a small craft industry scheme. As a result, we saw the birth of new ideas, the rise of active citizen, collaboration between generations, and of course the hope for a better life in Kampung Dago.

Untuk jadi lebih dari sekedar merk dan jadi bagian dari penyelesaian masalah ruang yang kami tinggali adalah salah satu cita-cita Batik Fractal. Dalam konteks Bandung, kami melihat bahwa ekosistem ekonomi kreatif harus lebih inklusif dan melibatkan lebih banyak orang, termasuk masyarakat kelas bawah. Bekerja sama dengan Komunitas Taboo, Batik Fractal sepakat untuk mengadakan pelatihan holistik tentang jBatik di kampung Dago Pojok, Bandung.
Dago Pojok merupakan salah satu kampung padat penduduk binaan komunitas Taboo yang menyimpan potensi kerajinan. Tapi kami percaya bahwa kreativitas tanpa ekosistem yang mendukung tak cukup untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Maka kami tak hanya melatih desain batik, tapi juga produksi hingga monetisasi—dalam level tertentu, menciptakan skema industri batik kecil. Hasilnya kami melihat lahirnya ide-ide baru, keaktifan warga, kolaborasi antar generasi, dan tentunya harapan untuk hidup yang lebih baik di Kampung Dago.
