TIGA DARA

Tiga Dara means “Three Virgins”. As of why this pattern named like that nobody knows. But it might refer to famous Indonesian movie with the same name.

Whatever it is, the pattern is both unique and wonderful. Some might say that it is the answer to Cirebon’s megamendung.

Using jBatik, we want to revive this delighful classic pattern. We took the basic shapes of Tiga Dara pattern, then we redraw the pattern using jBatik.
