Batik Gelas Kaca
Inspired by the glass making process which are one of the iconic visuals of Schott Igar, we plan to make designs with such basic shapes. From our search results, Batik Sisik from Madura has a form that can be transformed into a contemporary motif with our desired Schott Igar’ story. As the main form, jBatik software makes a shape resembling a ball being blown in fire filled with roses and Schott Igar’s company logo in it. This motif is repeated modularly with slight changes in each layer. Pursuing the theme “Glass: Transformation”, we play the visuals to have a vertical composition plot. From the glass that is melted, blown, to perfect bloom. To further absorb it, we add Lunglungan batik tendrils as a filler.
Batik Sekar Jagad (FSPKEP x Schott Igar)
For this design, we combine Lerengan batik and Ceplokan batik into one mixed motif that is alternated randomly. With jBatik software, the combination of these two contemporary motifs still looks good. As fillers, we use the form of rice and cotton plants contained in the FSPKEP logo, these two plants are commonly known as symbols of prosperity. For this collaboration, we chose a color that was quite contrasting in an effort to show that batik could accommodate as much difference as possible in one whole cloth that remained beautiful to use.
Batik Taman Arum
Summarizing Schott Igar’s various products in one batik motif that still looks traditional and luxurious is our goal when designing this. Batik Taman Arum was chosen by us as a container for symbols created through jBatik software based on a variant of the Schott Igar product. Taking inspiration from Cirebon coastal batik, we made a batik design depicting a garden with 14 types of flowers which are 14 symbols of the Schott Igar product line. The 14 symbols look explicit but are quite subtle because of their traditional accented form. In it we also place a tiger and a phoenix as a symbol of Schott Igar. Contemporary, luxurious and very detailed. Production for this design must be through the skilled hands of the craftsmen who really make batik from the heart.
Batik Tambal Biru
To show Schott Igar’s sincere intention to help solve the problem, we make batik motifs that are inspired by several things at once. The first is the classic ceramic motifs Delft Blau and Rose blau, then also the kintsugi or gold glue technique for ceramics from Japan, and finally the Tambal Miring batik. To give a contemporary impression, we changed the triangular shape to a random shape. As the problem they found might be so random as well. We created this random shape using a mathematical formula in jBatik Software. The result is a random motif resembling broken pieces of ceramics that are trying to be repaired back into whole ceramics, like what Schott Igar always does through his products.
Batik Gelas Kaca
Terinspirasi dari proses pembuatan bola-bola kaca yang menjadi salah satu visual ikonik Schott Igar, kami berencana membuat desain dengan bentuk dasar seperti itu. Dari hasil pencarian kami, Batik Sisik dari Madura punya bentuk yang bisa ditransformasi jadi motif kontemporer dengan narasi Schott Igar. Sebagai bentuk utama, software jBatik membuat bentuk menyerupai bola yang sedang ditiup yang diisi mawar dan logo perusahaan Schott Igar di dalamnya. Motif ini diulang secara modular dengan pengubahan sedikit di tiap layernya. Mengejar tema “Glass: Transformation”, kami memainkan visualnya agar punya plot secara komposisi vertikal. Dari kaca yang mencair, ditiup, hingga mekar sempurna. Untuk semakin menyerpunakan, kami menambah unsur batik Lunglungan sebagai pengisi.
Batik Sekar Jagad (FSPKEP x Schott Igar)
Untuk seri ini, kami mengkombinasikan batik Lerengan dan batik Ceplokan menjadi satu motif campuran yang berselang-seling secara acak. Dengan software jBatik, kombinasi dua motif kontemporer ini tetap terlihat cocok. Sebagai pengisi, kami menggunakan bentuk tanaman padi dan kapas yang terdapat di logo FSPKEP, dua tumbuhan ini sudah jamak diketahui sebagai simbol kemakmuran. Untuk kolaborasi ini, kami memilih warna yang cukup kontras sebagai usaha untuk menunjukkan bahwa batik bisa mewadahi sebanyak mungkin perbedaan dalam satu kain utuh yang tetap cantik untuk digunakan.
Batik Taman Arum
Merangkum beragam produk Schott Igar dalam satu motif batik yang tetap terlihat tradisional dan mewah, adalah tujuan kami ketika mendesain seri ini. Batik Taman Arum lalu kami pilih sebagai wadah untuk simbol-simbol yang dibuat lewat software jBatik berdasarkan varian produk Schott Igar. Mengambil inspirasi dari batik pesisiran Cirebon, jadilah desain batik gambaran sebuah taman dengan 14 jenis bunga yang merupakan 14 simbol lini produk Schott Igar. Ke-14 simbol itu terlihat eksplisit namun cukup subtil karena bentuknya yang beraksen tradisional. Di dalamnya kami juga menempatkan macan dan burung phoenix sebagai simbol Schott Igar. Kontemporer, mewah, dan sangat mendetil. Produksi untuk desain ini pasti lewat tangan-tangan terampil para perajin yang betul-betul membuat batik dari hati.
Batik Tambal Biru
Untuk menunjukkan niat tulus Schott Igar yang benar-benar ingin membantu memecahkan masalah, kami membuat motif batik yang terinspirasi dari beberapa hal sekaligus. Yang pertama adalah motif keramik klasik Delft Blau dan Rose blau, lalu juga teknik kintsugi atau lem emas untuk keramik dari Jepang, serta terakhir adalah batik Tambal Miring. Untuk memberi kesan kontemporer, kami mengubah bentuk triangular menjadi bentuk acak. Bentuk acak ini kami buat menggunakan rumus matematis di Software jBatik. Hasilnya adalah motif acak menyerupai pecahan keramik yang tengah berusaha diperbaiki kembali jadi keramik yang utuh, seperti apa yang selalu dilakukan oleh Schott Igar lewat produk-produknya.
